Older and wiser?
May 10, 2010emily No Comments »I’ve decided that I’m more prepared than most of you for old age. For starters, as we all know, I’m deaf in one ear. That gives me a head start, see? Because I can already legitimately say, “I can’t hear you; you’ll have to talk into my good ear!” Plus, I have a knack for misplacing things in the oddest places. Witness the fact that, over the weekend, I tried to put the milk away into the pantry. I can already see the day when John’s going to open the fridge and find my glasses where the milk goes, then open the pantry to find the milk where the flour usually is, and then find my glasses hanging on the hook where my keys usually are. Who knows where my keys will wind up. In fact, has anyone seen my keys? I should go check the hall closet.
