Bathroom remodel: day 1
February 19, 2009emily 3 Comments »Our bathroom remodel is finally underway, huzzah! Wayne, our builder, came to the house on Tuesday and ripped out the sliding glass door that has been the bane of my shower existence for lo these many years. And then he blocked it in and installed a window! Dear Previous Homeowners: A method of ventilating a bathroom, such as a window, is a good idea! Embrace it! Love, Emily. Here are some early photos:
The (cough) structure outside the bathroom, now with one wall and most of the floor missing:
The newly-blocked up wall, from the inside, with maybe too much flash:
Everything you see in those pictures will be different soon. Except, I suppose, the window. Eventually, the tiles will be different, the concrete block will be tiled over, the fixtures (though they’re not visible) will be new, the structure will be gone completely, and the shower curtain rod will be a thing of the past, replaced by a lovely glass door.
