Canada
February 13, 2009emily 3 Comments »Years ago, John and I were talking about where we might want to go on vacation. Anything and everything was on the table; we could have gone anywhere. So I suggested Canada. And here’s where our stories would start to differ. John wondered why I wanted to go to Canada. I didn’t have a reason, I just thought it would be a cool place to visit. But why, he asked, why Canada? And I said I thought it might be nice. The discussion got more and more heated, with me wondering why John was pestering me about why I wanted to go to Canada and John wondering why I couldn’t just tell him what was so great about Canada. Finally, we just dropped it. To this day we haven’t been to Canada, and I think we’re both remain confused how such an innocent topic went so drastically awry!

Wow, it’s interesting to see what gets left on the cutting room floor…
My point was, isn’t this like saying you want to visit the United States? Are you talking about Disney World, Washington D.C., maybe BFE Nebraska? Canada is a big place, and what I really wanted to know was what about Canada was interesting to you…
Sheesh!

If you narrow it down to Vancouver, I’ll happily oblige you with all the good insider’s tips.
Read: wilderness that’s beyond stunning.Plus, Canadians are a fun lot, if I do say so myself.

So, so, so funny. You live in a sitcom.
